In der anspruchsvollen Titelpartie des Dänenprinzen reüssiert Pavel Cernoch mit leuchtkräftigem, sicher geführtem Tenor.

Pavel Cernoch confirme qu'il est le ténor idéal pour Janácek

Dominique Adrian, ResMusica

Pavel Cernoch sings Don José with plangency and power, making the Flower Song a highlight of the evening, and his final return as the deranged lover is utterly convincing.

Pavel Černoch - tenor

Some reviews from Kat'a Kabanova at Covent Garden:

Pavel Cernoch makes the ideal Boris for her, a well-sung and well-presented suitor, but one whose weakness of character is deftly played.
www.ft.com/content/5a6fcb68-2939-11e9-a5ab-ff8ef2b976c7

Pavel Černoch’s dashingly attractive, if weak-willed Boris. (…) Černoch is very much her equal – warm in tone, ardent yet vacillating, and simmering with resentment at his treatment brutal Dikoj.

Pavel Černoch's handsome Boris would seem to be a good match, both physically, vocally and in his troubled soul, for the married woman he seems to be genuinely infatuated by (that slight rocking when he meets her outside the house at night, first seen in the Presentation of the Rose in Jones's Glyndebourne Rosenkavalier, tells us as much).

Well matched to Majeski’s resources as her lover Boris, Czech tenor Pavel Cernoch is skilful in defining the second of the two men who fail her.

As Boris, Brno-born Czech tenor Pavel Černoch is steeped in Janáček, and this was an impressive Covent Garden debut.
